[Thailand]Guide to Personal Income Tax Return 2022 (Filling 2023)

The 2022 personal income tax filing must be filed by 31st March 2023 via offline. Or you can submit online by 10th April 2023 at the website https://efiling.rd.go.th/

In case of submitting via online method. After completing the tax filing, if you have a “net overpaid tax amount”, the website will ask whether “Do you want a refund of the overpaid tax?” or not. If you select “Want to request a refund” through the Revenue Department’s website, you have to fill a phone number for following up the return process.

Once the tax refund has been approved. The next step is to choose a tax refund method. For Thai people You can choose to request a refund through your PromptPay account. This will be the fastest way. Other than that, the “ค.21” book must be brought to apply for a refund.

Foreigners (Have a Krungthai or BAAC bank account.)

Receiving method: via Krungthai or BAAC bank account.
Required documents: Bankbook, Book ค.21 (Khor 21) and passport and ID Card.

Foreigners (Already returned to home country)

1. Book ค.21 (Khor 21)
2. Letter of Authority(Writing in Thai language) certified by the Thai Embassy located in the country where the applicant resides
   2.1 In the letter of authority, specify “13-digit taxpayer identification number”.
   2.2 Signature of applicant, authorized person and 2 witnesses
   2.3 Certified true copy of the passport
3. Authorized person’s ID Card
4. Certified true copy of Thailand Tax ID Card
