Thailand prepares to host APEC CEO Summit 2022.

Event schedule for APEC CEO Summit 2022 in Thailand is setting for Nov 16-18 in Bangkok.

APEC(Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation) is a regional economic forum established in 1989. APEC’s member economies are Australia; Brunei Darussalam; Canada; Chile; People’s Republic of China; Hong Kong, China; Indonesia; Japan; Republic of Korea; Malaysia; Mexico; New Zealand; Papua New Guinea; Peru; The Philippines; The Russian Federation; Singapore; Chinese Taipei; Thailand; United States of America; Viet Nam.

In this event, Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha will become the host of this summit. US President Joe Biden and Prime Minister of Japan is planning to attend this event in November too.

Poj Aramwattananot, a member of the Apec Business Advisory Council and the chairman of the summit said that throuout this event, we hope to share the visions and join forces to drive global trade and economic growth.

“More than 10 leaders from Apec member economies will give keynote speeches on topics of high public interest. We hope that this venue will also offers a good opportunity for the Thai private sector to showcase its potential such as food security, investment, tourism and finance to the world”

The new QSNCC(Queen Sirikit National Convention Center) will host the APEC Summit. Main topics of this summit are inflation, energy and food crisis, economic rehabilitation after the pandemic.

The government intends to announce a special holiday on Nov 16-18 as the capital city hosts the APEC Summit. Deputy government spokeswoman Thaisuree Taisarnakul said that the special holiday was decided to reduce traffic and the movement of those attending and their security.

Special holiday plan was officially approved by the Cabinet. Effective with 3 regions, Bangkok, Nonthaburi and Samut Prakan.
